Lovable Woman Passes to Reward

Funeral services were conducted at the home Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. N. P. Bayers, who passed away Monday morning at 10:55 after an illness of two weeks duration. The cause of her death was complications of heart and kidney trouble. Rev. J. P. Anderson conducted the services and interment was made in the Oakwood cemetery. Deceased, whose maiden name was Olivia Hendrickson was born in Denmark June 3 1869, and was united in marriage to Nels P. Bayers at Chicago in 1909 and settled in Forest City where they have since resided. Mrs. Bayers was a pleasing an lovable lady and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. Her passing has spread a pall of gloom over the community. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband and many friends. Besides her sister Mrs. Otto Damm of Chicago and her brother Peter Peterson of Winterset, Iowa, she is survived by her husband and ten stepchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The stepchildren are Mrs. H. J. Ries of Coberg, Oregon, Mrs. J. M. Wells of Portage, Ontario, P. C Bayers, Mrs. C. C. Clark, Mrs E. F. Garbrecht and Mrs. H. C. Emerick of Minneapolis, George W. Bayers of Denver, and Arthur, John and Walter of Livina, Montana. All that medical skill and loving hands could do was done for Mrs. Bayers but to no avail. Many out of town people attended the funeral and the flowers were unusually many and beautiful.
