MRS. MARTHA LEE FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY

Last rites for Mrs. Martha Lee, 80, were held Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lee died Friday in Mason City.

The Rev. Owen Gangstead officiated at the rites. Mrs. Joseph Peterson was organist and soloists were Mrs. R.E. Hanson and Rev. William Ostroot of Fertile Lutheran Parish.

Pallbearers were Nels Ellingson, Luther Ingebretson, John Bannick, Ernest Nelson, Martin Tweeten and Ben Olson.

Mrs. Martha Johnson Lee was born June 24, 1879 to Johan Ericksen & Gurina Larsdatter in Fjell, Norway. She came to Iowa in 1899. There she met Christopher H. Lee and they were married in 1899 in Humboldt County. They became the parents of a daughter, Gertrude (Mrs. R.D. "Butch" Richardson) of Forest City, and three sons, Henry "Hank" of Rockford, IL, Peter "Pete" of Fertile and Clyde of Delano, MN.

After marriage, Mrs. Lee moved to Illinois and from there she came to Forest City. where she lived until 1955, when she went to a Mason City nursing home.

In addition to her four children, six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helena (Mrs. Tom) Olson and one brother, Jim Johnson of Canada, survive.
