Helgeson, P.A., physician and surgeon -- Lake Mills -- born 29 Aug., 1868, in Moscow, Iowa county, Wis. His parents came from Telemarken, Norway, to the place of his birth in about 1860. His father served in the famous Fifteenth Wisconsin Regiment for three years during the Civil War, and has farmed ever since.

At age fourteen young Helgeson left home and entered the Northwestern Business College, Madison, Wis., where he studied in the literary department for several years; entered the well-known Rush Medical College, Chicago, in 1888, remaining there one year. In 1890 he graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Keokuk, Iowa; since he has successfully practiced his profession at Lake Mills, Iowa. Helgeson is a member of the United Norwegian Lutheran Church, was married in 1889, and has two children.
