THOMPSON

I am trying to locate relatives of Sgt. Robert E. Thompson from Clare, Iowa.

My uncle was the navigator on a B-24 Liberator bomber in WWII. His plane crashed in Germany on April 29, 1944, and all 10 crewmen were killed. I have a lot of information about the training my uncle and his crew received, the 8 missions they flew, and their crash. I also have a photo of the crew taken about 2 weeks before their deaths. I thought relatives of the crew might be interested in this information.

One of the crew's gunners was Sgt. Robert E. Monroe, whose next of kin, as listed on the Missing Air Crew Report, was his father, Carl Thompson, of Rt. #1, Clare, Iowa.

I would like to locate relatives of Sgt. Thompson so I can tell them about the military service of this fine young man. Any help would be appreciated.
