Funeral rites for Mrs. Thomas Wonders, life-long resident of Webster County, who died at Lutheran Hospital Wednesday (January 26, 1944), were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Kalo Congregational church.
The Rev. Edward Lang officiated, with burial in the family lot in the Otho cemetery.
During the services Mrs. Stella Forbes sang, "Abide With Me," and "What A Friend," accompanied by Mrs. Lawrence Fortney.
The many floral expressions were arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Willis Heatherington, and Mr. and Mrs. Chelleen.
Pallbearers were Floyd Hart, Frank Wonders, Clem Fawkes, Willis Hart, Emerson Laird and Andrew Phillips.
Among those from out of the city in attendance at the services were Mrs. Lulu Bennett of Tipton, Harold Bennet of Dows, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Barger of LaCota, Mrs. Thomas Williams of Luverne, Mr. and Mrs. William Ryberg of Harcourt, Mrs. Rose Yeager of Kankakee, Ill., and many friends from Burnside, Lehigh and Otho.
