Dwayne "Butch" Johnson.
Dwayne "Butch" Johnson passed away on February 2, 2017, at the age of 70. Dwayne was the son of Donald and Lucille Johnson, both deceased, and the brother of Richard Johnson and Robert Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Goodyear, his son, Marcus of Florida, his daughter, Jeannie of Tennessee and five grandchildren. Dwayne was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on January 10, 1947 and grew up in Norwalk, California. He moved to Goodyear, Arizona in 2001. He was veteran of the Vietnam War, having served two tours and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. After Vietnam he worked as a General and Supervising Foreman at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and retired in the mid '90's. It was important to him that the work he did was of the highest quality. He had a strong work ethic and took pride in his work. Using his natural gifts and intelligence there wasn't anything he couldn't take apart, build, install or fix, even after being wounded and handicapped during the Vietnam War. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and camping. He will be deeply missed by by all who knew and loved him.
