“Sudden Death of John Molstedt, 90 Years Old”

“John Wilhelm Mostedt, ninety years of age, died this morning at 2:30 a.m. at the house of his son, Albin, ... West Fort Dodge. His death was very sudden as he had always enjoyed good health.

Mr. Molstedt came with his family to this country in 1873 from Sweden, settling in Michigan. In 1881 he came to Iowa, settling on a farm in Webster county, Clay township, where he lived until recently. His wife preceded him in death last December. He is survived by six children. They are: John Albin Molstedt and Mrs. Gust. A Olson of this city, Mrs. J. H. Lundgren, Charles and Victor of Elkhorn Township and Mrs. C. E. G. Sundberg of Callender. A brother A. A. Anderson of Madrid Ia., sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the home, 402 Avenue E and at 2:00 o’clock from the First Lutheran church of this city. Burial will be made in the cemetery at Calender.”
