“Francis B. Drake died Oct 16 at Otho. He was born in St. Lawrence Co., NY where he worked and attended school. He went to Pottsdam Academy and then taught school. In 1854 he taught school in Davenport, IA. He came here to Otho twp in 1858. He married 16 Apr 1857 to Caroline E. Hart, who died about a year ago. No children, but raised Mrs. Charlotte Yort and Mrs. Charles H. Bostwick.”
