“FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS HART TO BE HELD SUNDAY”

“Funeral services for Mrs. Pervilla Hart, a well-known resident of Otho, who died Thursday, Feb. 4, while visiting relatives in Hastings, Neb., will take place Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Congregationional church in Otho. Burial will be in the Otho Cemetery.

Although Mrs. Hart had not been very strong the past year or so, the last report from her was very encouraging so that the word of her death when it was received by her son, Seth N. Hart of this city, came as a great shock.

She was born in Oswego, N.y., March 20, 187, and in 1866 came to Webster county with her parents, Abram and Arminda Alsever, who were natives of New York. Upon arriving here, her father took up river land and also bought property in the village of Burnside. Mrs. Hart taught school in Webster county for several years and is well remembered by many of her old pupils.

She was married to Dr. George D. Hart June 11, 1885. To this union, one son was born, Seth Hart who lives in Fort Dodge. Three grandchildren Norman, Rex and Marjorie also survive as does one brother Milton of Cedar Rapids and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Bossmeyer of Indianapolis, Ind. Another sister Cora preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hart had been a faithful member of the Congregational church at Otho for many years.”
