Memorial services for Arthur Schuldt were held in the chapel at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge, Iowa on October 31. He died in the Tompkins Memorial Health Center at Friendship Haven on October 28, 1987. *Place of burial was not listed* He was born in Sherrill, Iowa on October 22, 1897. He attended Morningside College and later received his theological training at Garrett Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.

In 1926, he married Esther Bahnson in Inwood, Iowa. She was born July 6, 1897 and died in February of 1983 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Before his retirement in 1966, Schuldt served numerous churches, including Reinbeck, Iowa and Charles City, Iowa. He helped organize and served as the first executive director of Meth-Wick Manor, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the superintendent of the Sheldon District from 1945 to 1951. He moved into Friendship Haven in 1981.

Schuldt is survived by three daughters, Carol
Zingg of St. Louis, Missouri, Bonnie Jones of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Dawn Thompson of Rockford, Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a sister Flora Bruns of George, Iowa and a brother Wesley Schuldt of Stockton, California.
