PIONEER IOWA WOMAN DEAD

Services for Mrs. Phebe Sargent Dunsmoor, 90, widow of Charles H. Dunsmoor, Fort Dodge, Ia., railway engineer, will be at 2 p.m. today at Fort Dodge. Burial also will be there.

Mrs. Dunsmoor, a resident of Fort Dodge for more than 40 years, died Tuesday night at the Ellen Jay nursing home. She had made her home for the last nine years with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Guye, 108 E. Washington Ave.

Born at Belvidere, Ill., Dec. 5, 1852, she recalled singing campaign songs at the time of Abraham Lincoln’s election as president.

As a child, she accompanied her parents to Clayton County, to live. She was a leader in lodge and Presbyterian Church activities in Fort Dodge.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by three sons, D. D. and Earl D. Dunsmoor, both of Fort Dodge, and C. C. Dunsmoor, Marshalltown, IA.; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a brother, E. H. Sargent, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Dunsmoor, both of Strawberry Point, IA.
