IOWA FALLS—Genevieve Buckingham, 98, of Iowa Falls died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. A visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone. Graveside services and burial will be at the Mineral Ridge Cemetery in Ridgeport at a later date.

Genevieve was born Jan. 9, 1907, in Dayton Township in Webster County, the daughter of Anton and Alfa (Kelley) Larson. On Dec. 25, 1926, she was united in marriage with Millard Buckingham in Boone. Genevieve worked as a nurse's aide at the former Trion Nursing Home in Boone and the Madrid Home, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Boone. She also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include son M. J. Buckingham of Iowa Falls; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Millard; and two sisters, Agnes and Alta.
