Martha Jane Kinser

Martha Jane Blain was born in Brown County, Ohio, March 17th, 1838; died at her home in Promise City, Iowa, March 27th, 1907; was 69 years and 10 days old. She came to Oskaloosa, Ia., in 1856, moved to Wayne County, Iowa in 1858. She was married to Samuel J. Kinser, December 13th, 1860. To this union were born three sons who are living in Promise City, Iowa. She was a member of the Christian Church for 37 years; a kind mother, a good neighbor, and a Christian has gone to rest. R. W. Lilley, pastor of the Christian Church at Corydon preached the funeral. A large audience was present. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Promise City.
