Obituary ~ Patricia Lou "Patty" (Housman) Baker

Patricia Lou Baker was born on September 30, 1946 to Cecil and Joanne Housman.

She left this life to be with her Lord on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 18 days.

Patty spent her younger years on the family farm near Oakley, Iowa.

On August 23, 1965, she was united in marriage to Gary Wayne Baker. Three children were born to this union: Terry Scott, and twins, Pamela Sue and Penny Ann.

Patty was known for her great sense of humor and her unique way of looking at life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in the health care field most of her life and spare time found her reading a good book, doing a crossword puzzle or listening to music. Patty was a beautiful singer and sang at many events in her younger years.

Patty leaves to mourn her passing, son, Terry Scott of Minneapolis, MN, daughter, Pamela Sue (Brett) Little of Leon, IA, grandson, Ryan Deets of Leon, IA, granddaughter Andrea (Chance) Furman of Osceola, great-grandchildren, Dallas, Quintan, and Eien; mother, Joanne Housman of Chariton, IA and siblings Judy (Ken)Mumford of Russell, Iowa, Perry (Ruzanna) Housman of Los Angeles, CA, Dennis Housman of Monett, MO; Andy (Susie) Housman of Atlantic, IA and Fred Housman of West Des Moines, IA along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; father, Cecil, infant daughter, Penny Ann; and sister-in-laws Sue Ellen and Linda.

Patty will be greatly missed by all those that knew her and loved her but God saw her suffering and took her home to be with Him in eternal rest and peace.

[Interment was made at Humeston Cemetery, Humeston, Iowa.]

Fielding Funeral Home of Chariton, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
