Dubuque Telegraph and Times Journal, February 16, 1932

Maquoketa, Ia., Feb. 16, - SPECIAL: after an extended illness. George Walker, 72, who had spent the winter here with his daughter, Mrs. Harry L. Sharp, died here Monday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock their home with their daughter. He is survived by his widow, their only daughter, Mrs. Mildred Walker Sharp, and one granddaughter. One son died during the war and one daughter also preceded him in death.

Mr. Walker had always lived in the vicinity of Corydon, where he had engaged in farming until recent years. Mr. and Mrs. Walker came to Maquoketa last fall to make their home with their daughter.
