Obituary

Lillian Francis Casad was born in Keokuk, Iowa, Sept. 5, 1857. When but a child she moved with her parents to Ohio, where she resided until her 13th year, when they returned to Iowa and settled in Corydon. There she united with the M. E. church in her 16th year.

She was married to J. Dudley Johnston, Nov. 19, 1885, and moved with her husband to Seymour early in 1889, where they have since resided. She was transferred from the Corydon charge to our church here Sept. 16, 1899, and has remained in constant fellowship since.

To them were born one child, Kenneth Lawrence, June 28, 1891. She departed this life April 24, 1904, aged 46 years, 7 months and 19 days.

She was a faithful companion, a devoted mother and especially at the last a loyal servant of the Christ she loved. Her funeral was held in the M. E. church Thursday at 2:30 and her body laid to rest in Southlawn to await the summons at the last day.
