Obituary of C. C. Chase.

Columbus Clayton Chase was born near Pella, Mahaska county, Iowa, March 29, 1867, and died June 23, 1915, in the Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa, aged forty-eight years, two months and twenty-three days. He was ill for several weeks. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Chase of Humeston. In addition to his parents, he leaves a wife, three children, four brothers, sister, Mrs. Ben Byrum, of Humeston, and a host of friends. Mr. Chase was a prosperous farmer and a good, kind man and a friend of everyone.

Mr. and Mrs. Chase attended the funeral of their son which was held at his home near Glenwood, on June 26. A host of people paid last honors to the good man. Burial was made at Glenwood cemetery.
