Robert Clow Dies At 57

Robert B. Clow, 57, a Fairfield real estate agent for 30 years died at 1:15 a.m. today at Ottumwa Hospital. Death was caused by complications of diabetes.

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Trembly, Agency, officiating. Burial will be in Allerton, Iowa.

Clow spent most of his life in Fairfield. He had lived in Ottumwa in recent years, commuting to his business here. He was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve, retiring in 1974 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Clow was born Oct. 11, 1919 in Des Moines, the son of Archie and Helen Bamford Clow. He was married Sept. 14, 1968 to Patricia Keyser.

Surviving are his widow and two daughters, Roberta and Rebecca, all of Ottumwa; and his stepmother, Mrs. Mildred Clow, Fairfield.

Clow served in the China-Burma-India theater during World War II. He was a director of the Lake Darling Youth Center and a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, Elks and Shrine Club. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and attended Parsons College.
