MRS. MITCHELL DEAD

Died Sunday Night and Funeral Held at Home Yesterday

Mrs. F.M. Mitchell died Sunday night at her home in Humeston. The cause of her death was Bright's disease. She had been ill for several months. The funeral services were held at the home at twelve o'clock yesterday, conducted by Rev. Orr Campbell. Burial was made at Wood cemetery.

The following obituary was read at the funeral;

Mary E. Hart was born near Cambria, Iowa, May 8, 1860, in which place she made her home until the year of 1911, when she moved with her family to Humeston, where she died February 27, 1916.

On October 22, 1882, she was united in marriage to Frank M. Mithchell. To this union was born ten children, four sons and six daughters. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and eight children: Clinton C., and Mrs. W.O. Stewart, both of Chariton, Cleve L. of Cambria, Mrs. L.G. Troutman of Derby, Gladys, Grace, Noma and Frank of Humeston; also four grandchildren, one brother, three sisters, L.E. Hart and Mrs. Robert Burley of Derby, Mrs. M.A. Woolsey of Malvern, Iowa, and Mrs. E.E. Springer of Cambria; and a host of friends; two children, J.K. and Bertha M., having preceded her to the great beyond.

She was always a kind, loving and faithful wife and mother. It was her greatest desire to comfort and care for her family. She had been failing in health for several years, but has been confined to the house six months. Through all her suffering she was patient to the last.
