Joy J. Dykes, age 70, of LeClaire, IA (formerly of Mercer) died Monday, November 15, at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 18 at the First Assembly of God Church in Bettendorf, IA. Burial was at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Joy Holder was born May 9, 1923, in Lineville, IA, the daughter of James sand Lulla Marsengill Holder. She married Raymond L. Dykes on February 6, 1954, in Sparling, IL.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Bettendorf, where she was involved in Sunday School Teaching and the Out Reach Program. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #477 Auxiliary of Mercer.

Survivors include her husband Raymond; sons Ricky R. Dykes of Bettendorf, and Terry R. Dykes of LeClaire; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry R. Holder of LeClaire.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dale Dykes, February 16, 1990.
