McBRIDE, Eva Iris, 82, of Osceola, Iowa, died at her home on March 7, 2006. Funeral services were held at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola March 11.

EVA McBRIDE ... Eva Iris McBride, daughter of George Thomas Collins and Martha Jane [Fullerton] Collins, was born May 2, 1923 in Corydon, Iowa and passed away at her home near Osceola on March 7, 2006 at the age of 82.

Eva's mother died shortly after Eva's birth and she was raised by her mother's sister, Sylvia Fullerton and her mother's dad Thomas Aaron Fullerton. Eva graduated from Grand River High School. She was united in marriage to Robert L. McBride on December 5, 1949 in Bethany, Missouri; eight children blessed this union.

Eva was a housewife and had worked at Country Platter for 9 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and worked on Word Find Books in her spare time. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Preceding Eva in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Harry Collins, Francis Collins, and James Collins; and sister, Estella Collins.

She is survived by her eight children, Iris Lafollette (Vernon) of Camanche; Judy Patterson (Mike) of Des Moines; Robert McBRIDE (Debbie) of Osceola; Harry Jo McBride (Dena) of Osceola; Randy McBride (Sally ) of Osceola; Sandra McBride (Krell McBroom) of Osceola; Ranetta Mills (Roger) of Polk City; Dawn Smith (David) of Osceola; 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
