Dr. Fry was born in Johnson County August 26, 1879, the son of John and Agnes Seitz Fry. On January 1, 1908 he was married to Mabel Taylor.
He attended Veterinary school in Kansas City and practiced in the Frytown area over 50 years. He was also Frank Pierce correspondant for the Kalona News over 50 years. Following his retirement he moved to Kalona.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Dr. Lloyd V. Fry, Columbia, S.C.; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; five brothers; Fred and Earl of Iowa City; Leo, Powers, Oregon; George, Kalona; Clifford, LaMesa, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. H.J. (Gertrude) Bigelow, Kalona. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
