Harry A. Strabala, life-time resident of Richmond, died Saturday, June 15, 1968 at the Extended Care Center in Iowa City. He had been a hospital patient since May 10.
Funeral services were held at the Holy Trinity Church in Richmond at 9 o'clock, Tuesday, June 18 with the Rev. Fr. L.J. Bergthold saying the requiem mass. Interment was made in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Peterseim Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Strabala was born in Richmond July 27, 1886, the son of Lawrence and Mary Pieper Strabala. On November 25, 1915 he was married to Zdenka Kos in Richmond. Strabala was a carpenter by trade until he retired. He died at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 18 days.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Vincent Moleta of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., a son, Maynard Strabala of Riverside, six grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Sterling of Davenport, and a brother, Harold Strabala of Leetonia, Ohio, two half-brothers and one half-sister, Clinton and Lon Strabala and Mrs. Norma all of Poland, Ohio.
