Charles Kenneth "Kenny" Royer, 53, of Burlington, formerly of Fairfield, died at 4:31 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center in Burlington.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, rural Fairfield. Visitation is open at the chapel, with family present 7 to 8:30 tonight. A memorial has been established.
Royer was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Brighton, the son of Lee and Mabel Mullikin Royer. He graduated from Fairfield High School. He was a laborer.
Surviving are three sons, Charles A. of Safford, Ariz., Tom W. of Ottumwa, David K. of Loganville, Ga.; a daughter, Judy Ann Royer of Iowa City; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Bensmiller of Mount Pleasant, Marjery Lillard of Chicago; five brothers, William, James, Joe and Robert, all of Burlington, and John of Winfield. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
