Funeral services for Otto C. Newlon, 80, will be Thursday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
The services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J.E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
County officers rules Newlon died of natural causes after his body was found in his home Monday morning. It was estimated he had died Saturday night.
Otto C. Newlon was born Aug. 1, 1884, at Washington. He was the son of William and Nancy Coppock Newlon. His marriage to Pearle Gardner took place Sept. 16, 1921. She died April 6, 1967.
Newlon had lived in the Fairfield community for over 40 years, moving here from Packwood. He had been a longtime employ at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co., he was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion and Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Ted G. Newlon, Mantua, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Varner, Richland; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Sievert, San Gabriel, Calif.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter.
