Four Area Men Taken In Death During The Past Week
HARRY MALICHKY SR.
Harry Malichky Sr., died at his home, 710 5th Street, Kalona, Saturday morning, September 23, 1967 at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 27 days. He farmed in the Riverside-Kalona area most of his life, moving to Kalona in 1946.
He was born near Riverside, March 26, 1893, the son of John and Nettie Horak Malichky. On October 7, 1914 he was married to Emma Sojka. She preceded him in death August 17, 1965.
Survivors include: two sons, Hubert, Riverside; Harry Jr., Iowa City; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Figgins, Kalona; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel, Kalona, Monday, September 25 at 1 o'clock and Trinity Methodist Church in Riverside at 2 o'clock. Ministers in charge were the Rev. Lowell Drake and the Rev. Elis Powell. Interment was made in the Riverside Public Cemetery.Funeral Card
