Funeral services for Leo C. Graper were held at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel at 10 o'clock this morning, July 18, 1966. The Rev. Lowell Koch officiated and interment was made in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery near Sharon Center.
Mr. Graper farmed near Frytown and died early Monday evening of a heart attack while enroute to the Medical Building in Kalona. Mrs. Graper drove the car.
Leo C. Graper was born July 31, 1819 in Johnson County, the son of Richard and Clara Graper. He died at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 24 days.
On April 21, 1934 he was married to Frances Bacon. Survivors include his widow; his mother, two sons: Kenneth, Iowa City, and Clarence at home; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Miller, Marion; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Donald Semler, Keswick, Mrs. Frank Eckrich, Oxford, Mrs. Marlow Matthes, North English; one brother, Eldon, Kalona.
He was preceded in death by his father.Funeral Card
