Mrs. Cora Farnsworth Grant died today, Thursday, February 24, 1966 at the Shenk Rest Home in Wellman at the age of 95 years, 11 months, and 14 days. She had been in ill hearth for several months.
She was born March 10, 1870 near Fort Rittner, Indiana, a daughter of William and Rebecca Guther Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grant in March of 1965. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Mary Maxey, Iowa City and Mrs. Verna Hartsock, Kalona; three sons: Ben Farnsworth, Kalona, Lee Farnsworth, Dennison and Edw. Fleming, Iowa City; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 8 great, great, grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Flora Phillips of Ferris, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted by Ezra Shenk at 2 o'clock Saturday, February 26 at the Peterseim Funeral Chapel. Interment will be made in Memory Garden, Iowa City.
Contributions may be made to the heart fund as a memorial for Mrs. Grant.
