W.L. SHALLA FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY
Funeral services for William L. Shalla were held at Holy Trinity Catholic church in Richmond Saturday, December 11, 1965. The 10 o'clock requiem mass was said by the Rev. Fr. William Snell. Interment was made in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Peterseim Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shalla died December 9th at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient several weeks. A son of Charles Shalla and Mary Yansky Shalla Sharp, he was born April 26, 1894 and died at the age of 71 years, 7 months, and 13 days.
He was married to Emma Critz on November 6, 1918 at Richmond. Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Covey of Moline, Mrs. Robert Welte Jr. of Richmond, Mrs. John Coffman, Maquoketa, Mrs. John Fitzpatrick of Downers Grove, Ill.; three brothers, Fred Shalla of Brighton, Leo Sharp of Marion and Lloyd Sharp of Cedar Rapids and 13 grandchildren.Funeral Card
