Mrs. Katie Miller Taken In Death Tuesday, Nov. 2

Mrs. Katie Mae Miller died Tuesday, November 2, 1965 at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, November 4 by Richard Lichty and A. Lloyd Swartzendruber at the East Union Mennonite Church. Interment was made in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. The Peterseim Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Miller was born near Wellman December 8, 1879, a daughter of Daniel W. and Barbara Miller Wertz. She was married October 23, 1902 to C.C. Miller, who died in October of 1940.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Marie Herner of Kalona and a son, Clifford of Adel; two grandchildren; one brother, J.D. Wertz of Julesburg, Colorado.
