Ernest Clark of Crawfordsville dies

Ernest L. Clark, 74, died Friday December 27, 1963, at 9:30 a.m. in his home at Crawfordsville. He had been ill the past three weeks.

The funeral will be a 3 p.m. Monday in the United Presbyterian Church at Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Robert Rushing in charge.Burial will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery. Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clark was born Sept 4,1889 in Crawfordsville, a son of James and Gertrude Whyte Clark. He was reared at Crawfordsville and was married Dec 18, 1912 to Flora Keiper. They observed their 50th anniversary in 1962.

A rural mail carrier for 43 years,he had retired in 1956. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Rural Mail Carriers Association.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Kenneth Kilpatrick and Mrs. Lyle Lowe of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren;and one brother Lloyd Moothart of Washington.
