Glenda Kay Egli

Glenda Kay Egli, 68, of Columbus Junction, died Friday Oct. 3, 2014, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.

The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating. Interment will follow at Crawfordsville Cemetery.

Friends can call from 2-7:30 p.m. today at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will be present from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Memorials have been established for Faith Christian Outreach Church memorial and Jordan Smith missions.

Mrs. Egli was born Jan. 12, 1946, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Glendon and Lucile Lewis Hining. She married Darrell Egli April 16, 1966, in Fairfield.

Mrs. Egli was a graduate of Fairfield High School and AIB in Davenport.

She worked as a secretary for the superintendent at WACO school and as a secretary for C&J Fertilizer. She also worked with her husband on the family farm.

Mrs. Egli was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Church, T.T.T., Wednesday Study Club and the Porkettes.

Survivors include: her husband of rural Columbus Junction; one son, Jason Egli of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Jennifer Batty of Mt. Pleasant; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
