Anna Holub Spevacek was born in Bohemia, Nov. 3, 1840. She was married to Joseph Spevacek January 15, 1861. They emigrated to America, and located at Richmond, in the year of 1869. To them were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death, December 30, 1909, aged 71 years. Her death occurred at the family home March 31, 1928 at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 28 days. She leaves to mourn her death, two daughters; Mrs. Barbara Kos, and Mrs. Anna Vesley and two sons; V.J. and J.W. Spevacek. Also 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock p.m. at the M. E. Church in Richmond, conducted by Rev. P. S. Apfel. Interment in the Richmond Cemetery.
