Dale Duane Garrett, 87, of Wayland, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Mr. Garrett was born Mar 11, 1926, in Giltner, NB., the son of A.F. and Emma (Bailey) Garret. He married Carol Boese on June 17, 1956, at Finley Chapel. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Thomas Dale and wife Teri of Colorado Springs, CO., Curt and wife Tina of Mount Pleasant, and Mark and wife Karen of Wayland; one daughter, Beth Wirka and husband David of Wahoo, NB.; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald of Alton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parent; and one brother, Boyd.
