Lester Wayne Mayer, 86, of Haleyville, AL., died Friday, May 24, 2013, at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, AL. Mr. Mayer was born June 4, 1926, the son of George and Cecil Mayer. He married Phyllis HInkle Nov 6,1949. They divorced in 1982. He married Marie Bales in 1993. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Anna Marie Mayer; two sons, Steve of Costa Rica, and Craig and spouse Freda of Bentonville, AR.; one daughter, Debbie Cramblit and spouse Dirk of Agency; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Roger; and one sister, Marlene Havel. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cecil Mayer; and two infant siblings.
