Harlan Dean "Hank" Edgar, 79, of Crawfordsville, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Edgar was born June 10, 1933, in Crawfordsville, the son of William Harlan and Mary Alice (Hotle) Edgar. He married Mary Lou Buck on Sep 30, 1958, in Crawfordsville.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Catherine Schafer and husband Scott of Keosauqua; one son, William H. "Bill" Edgar and wife Sheri of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; one brother, Jim and wife Noy of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Pat Jenkins and husband Kermit of Washington, Nancy Wombacher and husband Ray of Iowa City, and Ellen Waggoner of Washington; one brother-in-law, Clifford Wheaton of Crawfordsville; and one sister-in-law, Mary Edgar of Amsterdam, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sam Edgar; and one sister, Linda Wheaton.
