Russell Lamont Gnagey, 84, of Wellman, died Wednesday, Dec 8, 2010, in the Parkview Home in Wellman following a short illness. Mr. Gnagey was born Dec 17, 1925, in Parnell, the son of Jonas D. and Gertrude (Bender) Gnagey. He married Lydia Helmuth on Oct 11, 1953, at the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church. Surviving are his wife, of Kolona; two daughters, Donna Yoder and her husband James of Kalona, and Karen Gnagey of Kalona; one grandcdaughter; and three sisters, Gladys Gnagey of Kalona, Delores Leichty and husband Mahlon of Kalona, and Geraldine Widmer and husband Dale of Wayland. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Vivian Louise Ockenfels.
