Orin Gale "Blackie" Black, 66, of rural Sigourney, died Thursday, Jan 9, 1992, at the Keokuk County Health Center following a short illness. Mr. Black was born May 5, 1925, in Washington County, the son of Guy and Myrtle Bales Black. Mr. Black married Lola Morrow, then later, on May 5, 1962, he married Jean Dickerson. He is survived by his wife Jean, nine sons, Denny, Moline, IL; Michael, Bill and Tom, Washington; Larry, Iowa City; Steve, Webster; Gary, Sigourney; Douglas, Centerville; Brad, Richland: and a foster son, Tim Clemens, Ottumwa; 20 grandchildren; a brother, Omar, Washington; and one sister, Myrtle Fulton, Richland. Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Owen and Otis, and two sisters, Delphia Hahn and Irma Hahn.
