BRIGHTON - Services will be Monday for Emma Elsie Kyle, 88, Brighton resident who died today at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
The services will be at 11 a.m. at the Gould funeral Home in Brighton with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Brighton.
Emma Elsie Kyle was born Aug. 12, 1889 at Davenport, the daughter of John and Ida Schroeder. She was married to Harry Kyle in March, 1913.
The couple moved to a farm three miles east of Brighton where they farmed for 35 years. He died in 1949 and Mrs. Kyle returned to Davenport.
She had recently moved to the Parkview Care Center in Fairfield and had been a patient in the hospital since Oct. 20. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star at Brighton.
Survivors include a brother, George Schroeder, Agency; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one infant, four brothers and a sister.
A memorial has been established for the Cancer Fund.
