N. Plamer Dies At 79

BATAVIA - Norma Palmer, 79, died Wednesday, 4:25 p.m., at Ottumwa Manor where she had been a patient for 18 months. She had been in failing health the past six years.

Mrs. Palmer was born Jan. 24, 1898 in Washington County, the daughter of Nathaniel and Capitalo Brindling Gardner. She married Ernest Loarn Palmer Sept. 10, 1919. The lived on a farm north of Batavia 35 years.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Patricia Tedrow of rural route Batavia and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be Friday, 1 p.m., at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. V.O. VanDyne officiating. Burial will be in Wellman Cemetery, Wellman. Visitation will be this evening at 7:30 at the funeral chapel.
