Illness Fatal To Simmering

WASHINGTON - Robert Alan Simmering, 13, Route 1, Washington, died Tuesday afternoon at his parents' home following an extended illness. He had been ill most of his life.

Robert was born Nov. 1, 1963 at Fairfield, the son of Ervin J. and Charlene Hesseltine Simmering. He lived in Washington County all his life. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, David of Bremerton, Wash., and Roger, at home; and a grandmother, Mable Hesseltine.

Services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ernest Calvedt officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sherman-Eden Funeral Home Wednesday evening or after 11 a.m., Thursday, at the church.

A memorial has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Development Center in Washington.
