Man Takes Own Life

BRIGHTON - Dale W. Jones, 67, died Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., from a self-inflicted gushot wound at his farm east of Brighton.

Funeral services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Brighton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Milton Houts officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established.

Jones was born March 19, 1910 near Brighton, the son of John W. and Hattie Clark Jones. He married Ferne M. Dunbar on Feb. 27, 1930. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert of Brighton; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Carolyn) Eyestone of Washington; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Cleo) Robertson of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Norbert (Cecil) Chuck of Brighton and Mrs. Bert (Ada Lee) Wells of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jones farmed east of Brighton of 35 years. He retired in April, 1976 and moved into Brighton. He was a member of Brighton Masonic Lodge and Brighton United Methodist Church.
