Joseph P. Ruplinger
Of South English Dies

SOUTH ENGLISH --- Joseph Peter Ruplinger, 50, a truck driver for the Keokuk County highway maintenance department for 13 years, was stricken while en route to work Friday and taken to the Keokuk County Hospital in Sigourney where he died a short time later.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Union Church at South English. Powell Funeral Home of South English is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ruplinger was born Dec. 12, 1911 in Harper, a son of John and Mary Streit Ruplinger. He was married to Velma Higgins Oct. 3, 1930, and they had spent all their married life in South English.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Klipp of South English; a son, Donald of North English; three grandchildren; his father, John of Keota; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Warren Carris and Mrs. Clarence Fulton of Keota, Mrs. Fred Lawrence of McHenry, Ill., Mrs. Genevieve Redlinger of Harper, Edward of Willoughby, Ohio, Mrs. Dallas Cathy of Hedrick, and Francis of Harper.
