Beatrice Cameron, 93, dies; visitation set for Thursday.

Beatrice Ethelbert Cameron, 93, Washington, died Nov. 27, 1997 at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Dec. 6 at the All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill. Internment will be in the All Saints Cemetery.

Calling will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Family visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday. Prayer services will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Halcyon House.

Beatrice Riley was born June 30, 1904 in Escanaba, Mich., to Edward F. and Rose Riley.

She married Oliver Gene Cameron in 1922.

The couple owned the North Side Cleaners and Dryers on the north side of Chicago until 1958 when Mr. Cameron died. At one point, the Cameron's cleaned the uniforms for the Chicago Cubs baseball team.

After her husbands death, Mrs. Cameron worked for a retail store called Blue Heaven and later for Wee Moderns in Skokie, Ill., where she worked for nearly 20 years until the mid 1980's.

Mrs. Cameron lived in Washington since 1991. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church.

Survivors include: a son, Gene Cameron Jr. of Wilmette, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter.
