Henry TeBockhorst Dies This Morning

Henry Francis TeBockhorst, 81 died in his sleep at 3:30 a.m. today, Sept. 24 1959, at his home on route one Washington. Death was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the St. James Catholic Church of which he was a member, with the Rev. T. J. Lew in charge. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Sherman-Eden Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery.

Mr. TeBockhorst was born Oct. 19, 1877 in Richmond, a son of William and Mary Abhalter TeBockhorst. He was reared and educated in this county and married at Richmond Nov 28, 1905 to Clara Escher. He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Washington County.

Mr. TeBockhorst was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight of the local lodge.

Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. William Bruty, and Muriel TeBockhorst of Washington, Mrs. Ardell Peiper, Richmond, and Mrs. Lloyd Graham, Clinton; five sons: Aelred and Paul of Washington, Omer of Moline, Frimin of Fairfield and Lyle of Davenport; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Also two sisters: Mrs. Anna Escher and Clara TeBockhorst of Richmond; and four brothers: Frank of West Bend, William, Harold and Joe of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and two children.
