Ina L. McDowell, 70, Dies Thursday Night

Ina L. McDowell, 70 engaged in abstract work in Washington for 45 years, died at 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 1959, at the hospital here. She had suffered a stroke on August 28. Miss McDowell's home was at 421 1/2 East Main Street.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Jones Funeral Home with Dr. R. W. Thompson and Dr. Frank Galloway in charge. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Miss McDowell was born Feb. 10, 1889 in Washington Cunty (sic), a daughter of John R and Mary Jane Armstrong McDowell. She was educated in Washington County schools and the Washington Academy.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

The only survivors are a number of cousins.
