DIES AT COUNTY HOSPITAL TODAY-----BORN AT BRIGHTON-----------
Robert Freeman Riley died at 7:20 o'clock this morning in the Washington county hospital from pneumonia. He had been ill for ten days and was taken to the hospital Sunday. He was a brother of Hattie Riley Jacobs who died from pneumonia three weeks ago yesterday.
He leaves a wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Riley of Brighton; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Ibendahl and Mrs. Charles Fish of Washington; and two brothers, Fred and Lacey Riley of Brighton.
He was born November 14, 1905, a son of Rosa Edwards Riley and David Riley, at Brighton. He attended school at Brighton. On August 30, 1928, he married in Des Moines to Gertrude Nolan. They had lived both in Washington and in Brighton during their married life, spending a part of both years here. He worked as a laborer.
Although plans for the funeral services were indefinite today, members of the family said the services would probably be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Jones funeral home, conducted by Rev. P.E. Roll of the Christian Church.
