David O. Riley of Brighton is Dead
Death Occurs at His Home Sunday, Following Period at the County Hospital

BRIGHTON, July 20---Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the home of David Oscar Riley, 63, who died Sunday morning at 7:15 at his home in Brighton. He became ill five weeks ago, and two weeks ago, when pneumonia developed, he was taken to Washington County Hospital where he was cared for until last Wednesday, when he was brought to his home.

Mr. Riley, son of Richard and Mary [Hensley] Riley, was born on October 23, 1878, in Henry county, in 1899 he married to Rosa Edwards, who with the following children survives: Mrs. Don Cleveland and Mrs. Charles Fish of Washington, and Fred Riley of Brighton. Three children are deceased. He also leaves one brother, Elmer Riley of Oskaloosa, and one sister, Mrs. Rena Fairchild, of Brighton, as well as 16 grandchildren.

Mr. Riley had been a patient of Brighton for 27 years.

Rev. R.W. Fillmore of the Christian Church will be in charge of the funeral services, and burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery.
