Funeral Services to Be Held Friday Afternoon in Christian Church at Brighton

BRIGHTON, April 7 ---- Charles Riley, 58, died yesterday afternoon about three thirty at his home one mile south of Brighton. He had not been well for the past year, but his health had declined noticeably the past two weeks. Death followed a heart attack suffered yesterday.

Funeral services will be held two o'clock Friday afternoon at the Christian church in charge of Rev. R.W. Fillmore. Interment will be in Hillcrest cemetery.

Mr. Riley had lived practically his entire life in the Brighton community, and for many years was employed by the M. and St. L. railroad.

He is survived by his wife who before marriage was Laura Fairchild; two brothers, Elmer Riley near Oskaloosa and Dave Riley of Brighton, and one sister, Mrs. Rena Fairchild, who lives north of Brighton.
