Keith Farrier

BRIGHTON---Keith E. Farrier, 72, of Ottumwa died at 5:33 p.m. Nov. 13, 2000 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was born June 24, 1928, to Floyd and Francelia Dickinson Farrier in Washington, Iowa.

A 1946 graduate of Brighton High School, he lived most of his life in the Ottumwa area. He was employed at the John Deere Ottumwa works for 27 years, retiring in June 1989. He was a member of the Ottumwa Legion Post #775, American Legion O. B. Nelson Post # 3 in Ottumwa, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #114, Moose Lodge #1415 in Oskaloosa and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by a daughter, Kane Farrell of Iowa City; three sons, Steve Farrier of Atlantic, Terry Farrier of Owatonna, Minn., and Joe Farrier of Newton; seven grandchildren; a sister, Donna Goss of Cedar Rapids; and three brothers, Kenneth Farrier of Brighton, Kermit Farrier of Ottumwa and Karel Farrier of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, John Farrier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, the Rev. Charles Flauding officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wapello County.
